The posting
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase materials, equipment, tools and services required for company operations.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality and delivery schedules.
- Request quotations, compare prices and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive rates.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Work closely with operations and project teams to understand purchasing requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of essential supplies.
- Resolve procurement issues, including delivery delays, incorrect orders and quality concerns.
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new vendors.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and other procurement-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Candidate must have at least 2–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in the construction, environmental services, facilities management or related industries.
- Good negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple purchasing requests.
