About discovermarket

discovermarket helps both the insurance industry and consumer-facing brands to digitize insurance distribution and operations end-to-end. We provide the infrastructure that empowers partners to embed insurance offerings into customer journeys. Our modular, API-driven technology and strategic partnerships deliver exceptional customer experiences and open new revenue streams.

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Product Owner / Assistant Product Owner who can turn partner needsinto clear, agent-ready specifications, and ship them with an engineering team that builds with AI agents.

In this role, you will own the definition of platform capabilities, insurance propositions and partner journeys on our embedded insurance platform, from discovery through to production. You will have significant input into new propositions and platform features, working hand in hand with an engineering team that builds with AI agents.

At discovermarket, software is delivered through our Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC): our approach to the SDLC in which AI agents help plan, build, test and review code, while people stay in control through human review and approval at each key stage. As Product Owner / Assistant Product Owner, you are the author of intent. You will write the requirements and specifications that our in-house Agent Development Kit (ADK) turns into plans and code, and approve the work at each gate.

What you will do

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for your platform area, working with partners, insurers and business specialists to balance today’s needs with future growth
  • Lead discovery workshops and interviews with partners and stakeholders to shape product strategy, value propositions, business cases and goals
  • Analyse and define customer and partner journeys across API, web and mobile touchpoints
  • Write agent-ready intent and specification artefacts, epics and stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements, supported by user flows and wireframes
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning and estimation, daily stand-ups, showcases and retros)
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, including decomposition, estimation and cross-team dependencies
  • Work hands-on within our ADLC: use ADK agents to author epics and break them down into stories and tasks, review agent-generated plans, and approve work at each human-in-the-loop gate
  • Partner with engineers on technical design, API contracts and trade-offs, using our platform knowledge base to ground requirements in how the platform actually works
  • Validate AI-generated output against intent and acceptance criteria before sign-off; you remain accountable for what ships
  • Plan and run UAT with partner stakeholders and drive launches through to production
  • Track outcomes after release (adoption, conversion, partner KPIs) and feed what you learn into the next iteration and into our ADK skills
  • Help define operating models for embedded insurance programmes across markets, in line with local regulatory requirements
  • Scout trends across embedded insurance, AI and competitors, and turn insights into product opportunities
  • Follow our security and data-handling rules when working with AI tools, keeping partner and customer data within approved tools

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager on B2B platform, API or SaaS products
  • Proven track record of executing product or platform strategy from discovery to launch
  • Experience working in multi-country, multicultural teams
  • Solid technical fluency: comfortable reading API specifications (REST/OpenAPI), discussing microservices and event-driven designs, and working with data
  • Customer-centric mindset, with hands-on experience creating customer personas, value maps and customer and user journey maps
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in visual process modelling
  • Strong analytical skills across products, platform data and competitive intelligence
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) in product work, and a clear understanding of LLM limitations, such as confident but incorrect answers
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to decompose complex issues, find solutions and summarise
  • Able to work autonomously and own outcomes end to end
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up
  • Insurance, Insurtech or embedded insurance experience
  • Nice to have: experience with spec-driven or AI-native development workflows, agent frameworks or LLM APIs
  • Nice to have: familiarity with Jira and Confluence, and a product certification (e.g. CSPO, PSPO)

Why discovermarket

  • AI-native product work: shape how an AI-native team builds, using our in-house ADK and ADLC
  • Real impact: your work reaches partners serving over 200 million customers
  • Growth: learning and development across product, AI and embedded insurance
  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Premium healthcare for yourself and family members
  • Generous year-end bonus and annual leave
  • A solid business and technical team behind you
  • A pleasant, enthusiastic, international work environment
  • Opportunity for traveling & working in Southeast Asia
  • Latest technologies, flexible working hours
  • And many more to come.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
