Job Summary
Assemble hydraulic power units and marine engineering components while managing inventory and shipping tasks to support workshop operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assemble hydraulic power units and marine engineering components to meet quality standards
- Receive, unpack, inspect, sort, and store incoming goods accurately to maintain inventory integrity
- Track stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid shortages
- Perform shipping duties including packing, cross-checking cargo against invoices and packing lists, and flagging discrepancies for resolution
- Record dimensions and gross weight of cartons and crates for shipping documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in moving materials and equipment in and out of the workshop to support daily operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum SPM, GCE N/O Level or equivalent
- Nitec, Diploma, or SKM in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 1-year related experience in mechanical, automotive, marine, or M&E work preferred
- Electrical engineering experience or basic knowledge of hydraulics is an added advantage
- Ability to converse in English and Mandarin due to operational requirements
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency
- Physically fit to lift and move heavy items up to 25 kg
- Comfortable handling hand and power tools
- Meticulous and detail oriented
- Possess team spirit
Other Information
- Salary: S$2,400.00 per month depending on experience
- Allowance: Meal allowance of S$5.00 per working day
- Work Days: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm; Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Overtime: As required, paid according to MOM regulations
- Benefits: 14 days annual leave, safety equipment provided, on-the-job training in hydraulics and marine control systems with growth opportunities
