Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage production schedules and cell activities to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Analyze material flow, demand fluctuations, production loading and capacity requirements to support effective planning.
- Monitor production input, output and work-in-progress (WIP) to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize delays.
- Review daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance to identify trends, address gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the material planning team to achieve delivery targets and inventory turnover goals.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve planning, scheduling and shipment issues.
- Support material planning for engineering changes and new product introductions.
- Maintain accurate and timely planning data and updates in SAP.
- Ensure compliance with established operating procedures and planning processes.
- Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues on planning activities and best practices.
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Liaise with internal and external customers on production schedules, material availability and delivery matters.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in production planning and control.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Strong analytical skills, with working knowledge of spreadsheets, pivot tables and databases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A collaborative team player with high standards of performance and personal integrity.
