About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Production Technician to operate our drying system and ancillary equipment daily. In addition to running the equipment, this role will also perform routine quality tests to support the QA function.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Equipment Operation

  • Start up, operate, and shut down the drying system and ancillary equipment according to SOPs.
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters: temperature, vacuum, feed rate, belt speed, and evaporation performance.
  • Ensure continuous, stable operation throughout the production shift.
  • Respond to alarms and minor process upsets.
  • Record all operating parameters in the batch log.

Routine Quality Testing

Perform routine in-process and finished product tests according to QA procedures.

  • Typical tests may include: moisture content, water activity, pH, appearance, bulk density, and particle size (sieve).
  • Record test results accurately in the QC log or batch record.
  • Report any out-of-specification results immediately to the Supervisor or QA.
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory testing when required.
  • Maintain the QA testing area and equipment in clean, calibrated condition.

Process Monitoring & Quality Checks

  • Take routine samples and perform basic in-process checks.
  • Report any deviation from specifications to the Supervisor or Engineer.
  • Support product changeovers and cleaning between batches.

Cleaning & Basic Upkeep

  • Perform daily cleaning of equipment and work area according to hygiene procedures.
  • Assist with CIP (Clean-in-Place) and manual cleaning where required.
  • Keep the production area clean, organised, and audit-ready.
  • Perform basic lubrication and minor adjustments as instructed.

Maintenance Support

  • Report equipment faults, unusual noise, leaks, or wear to the Engineer or Supervisor.
  • Assist maintenance technicians during repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Support spare parts replacement under supervision.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, and ISO 22000 requirements at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Participate in training and competency assessments.

Requirements

  • NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating process equipment in food, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience with drying equipment, spray dryers, or similar continuous process equipment is an advantage.
  • Basic laboratory skills for routine testing (moisture, pH, appearance, etc.).
  • Able to read and follow SOPs and batch records.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor adjustments and fault reporting.
  • Familiar with GMP and cleanroom environments is preferred.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Able to speak Mandarin is a nice to have.

KPIs

  • Equipment operated within specified parameters.
  • Batch records completed accurately and on time.
  • Routine QA tests performed accurately and on schedule.
  • Zero safety incidents.
  • Zero major hygiene or GMP non-conformances.
  • Equipment downtime minimised through early fault reporting.
  • Smooth shift handover.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Jurong, Singapore.
  • Cleanroom and production environment.
  • Shift work required once production stabilises.
  • During commissioning, additional hours and weekend support may be required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
