Job Description
We are seeking experienced Project Engineers / Assistant Project Managers to support the management and coordination of a major infrastructure development project in Singapore.
The successful candidates will assist in construction progress monitoring, contract administration, technical coordination and project documentation.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, building construction or project management.
- Experience in site coordination, construction supervision and project administration.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, work programmes and construction methodologies.
- Knowledge of construction contract administration, including Variation Orders, Extension of Time and progress claims, is advantageous.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of project planning software is an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of day-to-day construction activities.
- Monitor construction progress, manpower deployment, project milestones and site conditions.
- Assist in reviewing contractors' work programmes, progress reports, method statements and technical submissions.
- Support the assessment of Variation Orders, Extension of Time applications and contractual claims.
- Assist in reviewing progress payment claims and supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper records of site activities, construction progress, delays, instructions and variations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Attend site meetings, progress meetings and coordination meetings, and prepare meeting minutes.
- Identify potential construction delays, discrepancies and contractual issues, and report them to the project management team.
- Prepare progress reports, project correspondence and supporting documentation.
- Assist in monitoring quality compliance, testing and commissioning, handover and defects rectification.
- Perform other project management and coordination duties as assigned.
