Job Summary

VRM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead daily site operations, coordinate manpower and materials, and ensure timely, quality project delivery across electrical, plumbing, and M&E works.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily construction and M&E activities at various project sites to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules
  • Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Coordinate installation works for electrical, plumbing, and other construction-related tasks to ensure compliance with technical specifications
  • Arrange and monitor manpower deployment, materials, tools, and equipment to optimize resource utilization
  • Liaise with main contractors, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and resolve site issues
  • Monitor work progress and prepare daily progress reports, work schedules, and project documentation to track project status
  • Review construction drawings, technical specifications, and site requirements to support accurate project execution
  • Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and inventory management to maintain project continuity
  • Attend site coordination meetings and assist with inspections to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards
  • Support preparation of quotations, purchase orders, variation orders, and progress claims to facilitate project financial management
  • Ensure site works comply with workplace safety requirements and relevant regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day site coordination issues promptly to minimize project delays
  • Assist with testing, commissioning, defect rectification, and project handover to ensure successful project completion

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building, or related technical discipline
  • Relevant hands-on experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, or M&E works
  • Previous experience as a contractor, site supervisor, or project coordinator
  • Basic knowledge of construction drawings, site procedures, and material requirements
  • Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through effective project coordination
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites across Singapore
