About the role
The Quality Engineer supports day-to-day Quality and Engineering activities associated with products, processes and operations. The role involves assisting in the investigation and resolution of product, process, manufacturing and customer-related issues, and supporting customer feedback and complaint activities.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Quality and Engineering activities associated with products, processes and operations
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of product, process, manufacturing and customer-related issues
- Support customer feedback and complaint activities, including information gathering, investigation coordination, documentation and follow-up
- Assist in identifying root causes of problems and implementing appropriate corrective and improvement actions
- Support preparation, review and maintenance of technical and quality documentation
- Support product and process verification, testing, inspection and evaluation activities as required
- Participate in product, process and quality improvement projects
- Collect, organise and analyse data to support problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Service and other departments to resolve issues and complete assigned projects
- Support implementation of process improvements to improve product quality, efficiency, reliability and customer satisfaction
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related technical discipline
- Preferably 1–3 years of relevant working experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, medical devices, life sciences or other technical industries
- Fresh graduates with relevant internship, industrial attachment or project experience may also be considered
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Statistical Analysis (Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Gage R&R, DOE etc)
- Root cause analysis (Kepner-Tregoe, 5-Why, 6M etc)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work effectively independently and within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
