Job Description
- Review architectural plans and prepare quantity needs.
- Estimate the quantity and costs of materials, labor, and construction equipment.
- Prepare contract documents, including bills of quantities and other relevant details.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with contractors and suppliers.
- Track changes to designs and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Monitor and keep track of progress and contract compliance.
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction complies with the initial specifications and industry standards.
- Manage and process payments and invoices.
- Assess potential risks and work on mitigating them.
- Report on financial status and make forecasts for project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of construction costs and contracts.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder engagements.
- Detail-oriented and deeply organized.
- Adept in MS Office and Quantity Surveying software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
