We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing quotations, evaluating subcontractor claims, and supporting the overall contract administration process for construction projects.
The ideal candidate should possess good analytical skills, strong knowledge of construction costing, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions
- Take off quantities from drawings and specifications
- Prepare admonitor project budgets and cost control reports
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and claims
- Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Assist in contract administration and project documentation
- Monitor project progress and ensure project costs are within budget
- Prepare monthly costing reports for all ongoing projects
- Source and compare material and subcontractor prices
- Keep track of construction materials and inventory
- Monitor material usage and arrange ordering when required
- Document design changes and update project budgets accordingly
- Support project and site teams on costing-related matters
- Maintain proper records of project costs and documentation
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma or Degreein Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience preferred
- Knowledge of construction contracts and costing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software
- Able to read construction drawings and specifications
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Responsible, organized, and able to work independently
