Job Summary

Responsible for delivering safe, accurate, and efficient diagnostic imaging services while maintaining imaging quality, radiation safety, and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic imaging examinations according to established SOPs and clinical protocols.
  • Confirm patient identity and examination details, and comply with applicable consent and radiation safety procedures.
  • Review images for quality, completeness, and accurate labelling before submitting them for reporting or releasing them to patients, where applicable.
  • Ensure examination codes and system entries accurately reflect the requested procedures.
  • Provide clear explanations of examinations, including the procedure and expected duration.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and emotional well-being throughout the imaging process.
  • Implement radiation protection measures to minimise unnecessary exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
  • Undertake on-call and after-hours duties as required to support timely imaging services.
  • Conduct routine equipment QA checks in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and departmental procedures.
  • Perform other relevant duties assigned by the Director.
