Brief Summary
Join a dynamic investment team overseeing the performance and strategic management of a real estate investment portfolio. This role offers exposure to real estate investment analysis, financial modelling, portfolio performance monitoring and cross-border stakeholder management, working closely with asset managers, professional advisors and regional teams to maximise investment returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of the overall real estate portfolio and individual investments, reviewing actual results against underwriting assumptions, budgets and investment targets.
- Engage with third-party asset managers to monitor asset performance, address operational matters and support investment objectives.
- Analyse market developments, industry trends and investment opportunities to support portfolio strategy and decision-making.
- Conduct financial analysis and performance reviews to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external professionals, including legal counsel, tax advisors, real estate agents and appraisers, to resolve investment-related and ad-hoc matters.
- Manage investment-related documentation and coordinate execution across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with locally hired staff across middle-office, back-office and investment functions to ensure smooth operations and effective collaboration.
- Maintain close communication with relevant departments at Headquarters to align regional activities with overall investment objectives.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Real Estate, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in real estate portfolio management, risk management, structured finance or related financial sectors.
- Strong understanding of real estate financial modelling, investment analysis and returns calculations, particularly using Excel.
- Knowledge of real estate investment management, capital markets, financing and treasury concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound logical thinking and project management capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural and cross-border environment, managing multiple priorities under pressure.
- Positive attitude, strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn.
