Regional Payroll Specialist (HR/ Generalist/ Kallang)

Job Summary
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations across a cluster of countries, while driving payroll transformation, digitalization, and process excellence initiatives.
- This role partners with regional stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate, compliant, employee-centric payroll services and support ongoing organizational change.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll operations which includes processing, checking, for a cluster of countries, ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, timely, and in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Act as a trusted payroll advisor and key point of contact for the HR community, Finance, vendors, and external agencies, driving service excellence and effective issue resolution.
- Govern payroll controls, compliance requirements, audits, reconciliations, and risk management activities to ensure a sustainable control environment.
- Lead payroll transformation initiatives, process optimization, automation, and digitalization efforts to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and employee experience.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support payroll system implementations, technology enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training, and adoption strategies to support business and payroll transformation.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance payroll policies, standard operating procedures, process documentation, control checklists, and knowledge repositories.
- Identify opportunities to standardize processes, strengthen governance, improve service delivery, reduce operational risks, and embed best practices across payroll operations.
- Support regional and global payroll projects, organizational changes, acquisitions, transitions, and new country deployments impacting payroll delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for designated payroll processes, providing guidance, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving process excellence.
- Coach and provide day-to-day support to junior team members, fostering capability development, knowledge sharing, and a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Collaborate with teammates across regions to ensure operational resilience and business continuity.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of payroll experience.
- Experience in payroll operations in multiple countries.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and controls.
- Effective analytical, project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to solve problems and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in payroll transformation or automation
