The posting

We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our café and bar operations across two brands, working closely with another manager to rotate between venues as required. You will split your time between the floor—fostering a warm, welcoming environment for guests and guiding your team—and managing the business side of operations.

We look for candidates who naturally bring a warm, energetic, and fun-loving presence to the team, setting the tone for the entire workplace. We evaluate these qualities closely during the interview process to ensure a strong cultural fit.

In this role, you will combine a strong passion for hospitality with a practical commercial sense, constantly looking for ways to improve performance, attract guests, grow sales, and turn new ideas into action.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Sales Growth

· Drive sales and profitability across the café and bar.

· Identify opportunities to increase customer traffic, average spend and repeat visits.

· Develop and implement promotions, events, menu ideas and upselling strategies.

· Analyse sales performance and customer trends to identify areas for improvement.

· Bring fresh, practical ideas to grow the business and improve outlet performance.

2. Outlet Operations

· Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the café and bar.

· Manage inventory, purchasing, costs and wastage effectively.

· Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain food and beverage quality.

· Ensure the outlet, equipment and facilities are well maintained.

· Handle operational issues and make timely decisions during service.

3. Team Leadership

· Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver excellent service.

· Manage manpower planning, scheduling, onboarding and training.

· Build a positive team culture and develop staff capabilities.

· Lead by example, especially during busy service periods.

4. Guest Experience

· Create a welcoming and engaging experience for every guest.

· Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.

· Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat visits.

· Continuously look for ways to improve service and the overall dining experience.

5. Food Safety & Compliance

· Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant F&B regulations.

· Conduct regular checks and follow up on any operational or safety issues.

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum 5 years of relevant F&B experience, preferably in a restaurant, café or bar environment.

· Strong understanding of F&B operations, sales and profitability.

· Commercially driven with the ability to identify and articulate ideas to grow the café and bar business.

· Creative and proactive, with a hands-on approach to turning ideas into action.

· Strong leadership and people management skills.

· Customer-focused with a passion for creating great dining experiences.

· Confident, organised and able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

· Positive “can-do” attitude and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
