About Café Candela
Café Candela is a vibrant Latin-inspired tapas and dining concept that brings together great food, creative cocktails, music and warm hospitality. We aim to create a lively, welcoming atmosphere where guests come together to share food, enjoy drinks and have memorable experiences.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Restaurant Manager who can lead our team, oversee daily operations and help grow the business.
Job Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations
- Oversee all daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and guest experience.
- Manage staff scheduling, inventory, stock control and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace regulations.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop a strong service team.
- Create a positive, professional and energetic working environment.
- Lead by example with a hands-on approach during service.
- Maintain high standards of teamwork, discipline and hospitality.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive restaurant revenue through excellent service, upselling and customer engagement.
- Develop initiatives to attract new customers and build a loyal customer base.
- Support marketing activities, special promotions, themed nights and private events.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales, average guest spending and overall profitability.
Guest Experience
- Create a warm, vibrant and engaging atmosphere that reflects Café Candela's Latin-inspired identity.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and ensure memorable dining experiences.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally.
- Ensure the team delivers attentive, friendly and personalised service.
Financial & Cost Management
- Monitor daily sales, labour costs, food and beverage costs.
- Manage inventory, minimise wastage and maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare regular sales and performance reports for management.
- Work closely with ownership to achieve business targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in casual-premium dining, tapas restaurants, cocktail bars or hospitality-driven concepts.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Outgoing, confident and charismatic personality.
- Good understanding of restaurant operations, cost control and sales performance.
- Passion for food, wine, cocktails, music and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Experience in Latin American or Spanish dining concepts is an advantage.
- Proactive, organised, results-oriented and able to work independently.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
