The ideal candidate should have a strong background in direct B2B sales, preferably within the TIC industry or related sectors such as industrial services, chemicals, manufacturing, engineering, or process industries. A customer-focused mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders are essential for success.

  • Proactively identify potential customers, including chemical manufacturers, petrochemical companies, oil and gas operators, process plants, refineries, and industrial service providers.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company's customer base and market share.
  • Generate new leads through market research, networking, industry events, customer referrals, and direct sales activities.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve assigned revenue, sales growth, and profitability targets.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts to maximise business potential.

2. Key Account Management

  • Manage and develop strategic customer accounts to establish long-term business relationships.
  • Understand customers' business operations, technical requirements, and commercial objectives to recommend suitable service solutions.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and sales meetings to strengthen engagement and identify new opportunities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, coordinating with internal teams to address enquiries and resolve service-related issues.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery and customer retention.

3. Go-to-Market Strategy & Market Development

  • Work closely with the AVP I&I (ASEAN) to develop and implement go-to-market strategies for the Chemical & Process Industry.
  • Analyse market trends, customer demand, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify target customer segments and develop effective approaches to penetrate new markets and industries.
  • Support the development of sales campaigns, value propositions, pricing strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Provide regular market intelligence and feedback to management to support business planning and strategic decision-making.

4. Sales Negotiation & Commercial Management

  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and commercial offers in line with customer requirements and company guidelines.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to secure new contracts and achieve favourable business outcomes.
  • Manage the sales process from initial customer engagement and proposal development through contract award and handover.
  • Monitor sales performance, revenue forecasts, and pipeline progression to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet customer expectations and commercial objectives.

5. Internal Collaboration & Service Coordination

  • Collaborate with technical, operational, and service delivery teams to develop appropriate solutions for customers.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from sales to service execution.
  • Work with regional teams to identify cross-border business opportunities and support customer requirements across ASEAN.
  • Ensure customer commitments, service expectations, and commercial agreements are communicated clearly to the relevant teams.

6. Sales Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunity updates in the company's CRM system.
  • Prepare regular sales pipeline reports, revenue forecasts, and business performance updates for management.
  • Track progress against sales targets and develop action plans to address gaps.
  • Provide insights on market conditions, customer feedback, and emerging business opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of direct B2B sales experience, preferably within the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry or related technical service sectors.
  • Experience serving customers in the Chemical & Process Industry, petrochemical, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, or engineering sectors will be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in business development, key account management, and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand technical service offerings and translate customer requirements into suitable business solutions.
  • Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop effective sales plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities when required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
