Key Responsibilities

  • Find and approach prospective customers, decision makers, and target accounts; assess deal requirements and market dynamics to qualify opportunities.
  • Partner with local, regional, and global teams to win new business with compelling pitches, and build lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels of key account organizations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end customers, influencers, and contractors, both directly and through distribution partners.
  • Build and progress opportunities through each sales stage to closure, keeping CRM and project management records accurate and up to date.
  • Set budget forecasts and sales volume targets for the SEA Data Center market.
  • Work with the sales team to decide how much distributor involvement each deal needs, and advise distributors on pricing and quotation strategy.
  • Help identify and qualify strategic alliances that extend the company's products, services, and market reach.
  • Give front-line marketing and technical support on Data Center topics to distributors and dealers.
  • Analyze sales and market data and report insights to senior management to support decisions.
  • Represent the company at trade events and industry associations, and work with Marketing and Engineering on technical papers and white papers for publications and conferences.
  • Act as the go-to expert on Data Center power products, industry standards, and on-site power system design and integration.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years with relevant sales experience in the power generation industry. (Sales of Genset experience or Data Centre experience are preferrably)
  • Proven direct and channel sales track record, with the ability to present and negotiate with senior executives and decision makers, internally and externally.
  • Results-oriented, with a competitive drive to win.
  • Collaborative, and comfortable working with colleagues at every level.
  • Able to work independently and travel frequently (up to approximately 50% of the time).
  • Hands-on experience in the Data Center segment, with strong technical knowledge of power generation products, solutions, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate others, bring fresh thinking, and stay customer focused.
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Team player who can lead or contribute to cross-functional teams, and who is open-minded and receptive to feedback
