The posting

Responsibilities

- Develop new business opportunities within the maritime and shipping industry, targeting shipowners, ship managers, vessel operators and other maritime clients.

- Conduct active business development and sales hunting, including prospecting, cold outreach, client meetings and networking.

- Promote the company's portfolio of satellite communication, vessel connectivity and maritime communication solutions.

- Understand customers' vessel connectivity and communication requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.

- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through quotation, proposal, negotiation and closing.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing maritime customers to generate repeat business and account growth.

- Work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure solutions proposed to customers can be effectively implemented and supported.

- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations and tender submissions.

- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms while maintaining appropriate margins and profitability.

- Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecasts and customer records and provide regular updates to management.

- Monitor developments within the maritime communications and connectivity market and identify new commercial opportunities.

- Attend maritime exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings locally and overseas where required.

- Achieve agreed sales revenue and business development targets.

Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, IT/Telecommunications or a related discipline.

- Around 2–5+ years of B2B sales/business development experience, preferably within maritime, satellite communications, marine electronics, telecommunications or maritime technology.

- Existing relationships with shipowners and ship managers would be advantageous.

- Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated ability to generate new leads and win new customers.

- Comfortable selling technical solutions and communicating with both commercial and technical stakeholders.

- Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

- Able to work independently and manage the sales process from prospecting through closing.

- Willingness to travel and attend maritime industry events when required.
