The posting

We are looking for a proactive and creative Sales & Marketing Executive to manage the company’s sales and marketing activities.

The successful candidate must be comfortable speaking to customers, conducting presentations, developing marketing materials, managing social media platforms, creating EDM campaigns and following up on sales opportunities.

This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who can combine sales ability with digital marketing, content development and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities from existing and prospective customers.
  • Promote Hypercom’s solutions, including Unified Communications, PBX systems, cloud communication services, CCTV, video conferencing, networking, AI-powered solutions and maintenance services.
  • Contact prospective customers through telephone calls, emails, social media, referrals, events and other lead-generation activities.
  • Understand customers’ business and technical requirements before recommending suitable solutions.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, quotations and supporting materials.
  • Conduct face-to-face and online presentations to customers, business partners and management teams.
  • Follow up on quotations, proposals, enquiries and sales leads until closure.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers, technology partners, distributors and vendors.
  • Work with technical and project teams to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, quotations and sales activities.
  • Achieve agreed individual and company sales targets.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates and activity reports to management.
  • Support customer contract renewals, technology refresh opportunities and cross-selling of additional solutions.
  • Attend customer meetings, exhibitions, seminars, partner events and networking activities when required.

Marketing and Digital Content

  • Plan and manage Hypercom’s overall marketing calendar.
  • Manage and regularly update the company’s social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant channels.
  • Develop suitable content for social media posts, product announcements, customer success stories, promotions and company updates.
  • Create and distribute EDM campaigns for products, services, events, promotions and customer engagement.
  • Maintain and organise customer and prospect mailing lists.
  • Monitor EDM campaign results, including delivery, open, click and response rates.
  • Prepare marketing presentations, brochures, flyers, product comparisons, event materials and digital advertisements.
  • Coordinate with vendors, principals and business partners on joint marketing campaigns.
  • Update the company website with relevant products, services, events and promotional content.
  • Support search engine, online advertising and lead-generation activities where applicable.
  • Assist in organising customer seminars, product demonstrations, webinars and corporate events.
  • Take suitable photographs and short videos during company activities and events for marketing use.
  • Ensure that all published content is accurate, professional and consistent with Hypercom’s brand identity.
  • Monitor competitors, industry developments and emerging technology trends.
  • Submit regular reports on marketing activities, campaign performance and generated leads.

Presentation Requirements

The candidate must be able to:

  • Prepare clear and professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Present technology solutions confidently to customers and business partners.
  • Explain technical products in simple business language.
  • Conduct product introductions, demonstrations and proposal presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Represent Hypercom professionally during meetings, exhibitions and events.

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant experience in sales, business development, digital marketing or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Experience in the information technology, telecommunications, Unified Communications, CCTV, networking or system integration industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Confident in conducting presentations and communicating with customers.
  • Able to prepare sales proposals, quotations, presentation materials and marketing content.
  • Familiar with social media management and EDM campaign tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and common digital marketing applications.
  • Basic graphic design and video-editing ability using tools such as Canva or similar applications will be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
  • Able to manage multiple sales opportunities and marketing campaigns concurrently.
  • Results-oriented and comfortable working towards sales targets.
  • Willing to learn about new technology products and solutions.
  • Able to work closely with sales, technical, project and administrative teams.
  • Possession of a valid Singapore driving licence will be an advantage but is not compulsory.

  • Customer follow-up and response time.
  • EDM campaign delivery, engagement and lead generation.
  • Contribution to customer retention, renewals and cross-selling opportunities.

Suitable Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is commercially driven, confident in front of customers and capable of independently carrying out both sales and marketing work. The person should be able to convert technical information into clear customer benefits, create professional marketing content and consistently follow up on opportunities to achieve results.
