The posting

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the Finance function in managing the accounting and financial reporting activities of the Group, with a focus on the Japan operations and Group/REIT reporting. The role will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Review monthly financial statements prepared by outsourced providers for Japan entities (including GAAP adjustments), prepare and analyze monthly P&L against budget for Japan and Singapore, and prepare quarterly rolling forecasts for Japan.
  • Tax, Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Support Japan tax computation finalization, coordinate annual audits and financial statement finalizations for Japan and Singapore, support annual FATCA/CRS filings for Japan, and prepare quarterly MAS regulatory reports and submissions.
  • Consolidation & System Management: Perform monthly Group/REIT consolidation and DPU computation, manage external service providers and stakeholders (CITCO, Yardi, UIJ), and support the optimization of Yardi and finance systems for Japan operations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline (professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA, or CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, with solid background in group consolidation and financial statement preparation/review.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Background in a listed company, REIT, real estate, or fund management environment is strongly preferred, alongside familiarity with MAS and SGX reporting requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced service providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with Yardi is a strong advantage).
