Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and customers to understand project requirements, design specifications, and technical objectives.
  • Analyse project requirements and contribute to concept development and solution design.
  • Design and develop high-precision automation equipment and systems.
  • Select suitable mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor, servo, motor, and robotic components.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) using SAP.
  • Coordinate with fabrication vendors and component suppliers to support project execution.
  • Monitor and report project progress to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to assembly technicians during equipment assembly, testing, and commissioning.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality teams, to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in automation equipment design.
  • Experience in factory automation is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and sensor component selection.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and EPDM software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
