We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and improve reliable software for embedded and connected products. The role combines strong C/C++and real-time systems expertise with sound architecture, hardware-software integration, cybersecurity, automation, and product-engineering practices. You will work with systems, hardware, application, platform, quality, cybersecurity, manufacturing, and product teams to translate complex requirements into robust, testable, maintainable, and production-ready software.

Embedded Software Development

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software, firmware, device drivers, BSPs, middleware, and real-time applications.
  • Translate product and hardware requirements into scalable software architectures, designs, and implementation plans.
  • Develop solutions for microcontrollers, embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal platforms.
  • Implement and optimize communication protocols, control logic, diagnostics, and device management functions.
  • Promote reusable, maintainable, and standards-based software engineering practices.

System Integration & Performance

  • Integrate embedded software with processors, sensors, actuators, communication modules, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform board bring-up, hardware-software integration, debugging, and fault isolation.
  • Optimize system performance, memory usage, power consumption, reliability, and real-time behavior.
  • Support integration with backend systems, APIs, messaging platforms, and external interfaces.
  • Maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and design decisions.

Quality, Testing & Automation

  • Develop and execute unit, integration, system, SIL, and HIL testing.
  • Build automated test frameworks, diagnostics, code-quality checks, and CI pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and test coverage.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve product and production issues.
  • Prepare design documents, test reports, release notes, and handover materials.

Secure Delivery & Lifecycle Support

  • Apply secure coding, software update, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support software build, release, version control, deployment, maintenance, and rollback processes.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and production readiness activities.
  • Support manufacturing, field diagnostics, lifecycle maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance performance, reliability, security, cost, and delivery priorities in technical decisions.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead technical design and code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
  • Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
  • Communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively within Agile, Scrum, and cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current with embedded technologies, real-time systems, cybersecurity, and automation trends.

Qualities We Value

  • Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in embedded, firmware, real-time, or systems software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ with expertise in debugging, memory management, concurrency, and software design.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded processors/microcontrollers and embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare-metal development.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces and protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Proficiency with debugging and development tools, version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Knowledge of system boot processes, interrupts, scheduling, IPC, and resource-constrained system design.
  • Ability to translate hardware and system requirements into reliable, secure, and maintainable software.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
