Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure & Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of infrastructure, workplace technology and technical projects for business and enterprise clients.
This is a senior client-facing role combining technical project management, infrastructure service delivery, vendor and contractor coordination, and hands-on technical oversight.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking projects and technical requirements from initial client discussions through planning, resource coordination, implementation, testing, documentation and handover. The role requires sufficient technical depth to understand enterprise infrastructure environments, assess proposed solutions, coordinate specialist engineers and vendors, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure that the delivered solution meets the agreed technical and service requirements.
The role will work across network, server, virtualisation, cloud, Microsoft 365, endpoint and site infrastructure environments, depending on client requirements.
This position is particularly suited to someone who has worked within an IT services or managed services environment and is comfortable moving between client management, project delivery and technical infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure and technology projects for multiple business and enterprise clients.
- Translate client requirements into practical technical project plans, scopes, timelines, resource requirements and implementation activities.
- Coordinate project activities across internal technical teams, specialist engineers, subcontractors, vendors and client stakeholders.
- Establish project milestones, dependencies, responsibilities, change requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Manage project risks, issues and dependencies and escalate matters requiring management or specialist intervention.
- Coordinate implementation and change windows, including after-hours and weekend activities where required.
- Monitor project progress against agreed scope, budget, schedule and service requirements.
- Conduct project status meetings and provide clear progress reporting to clients and internal management.
- Coordinate testing, validation, documentation and client acceptance before project closure.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify improvements for future deployments.
2. Client & Technical Service Management
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for assigned clients and projects.
- Develop a clear understanding of each client's existing infrastructure, business requirements, technical environment and operational constraints.
- Work with clients to define technical requirements, priorities and implementation approaches.
- Provide practical technical guidance without unnecessarily over-engineering solutions.
- Coordinate responses to infrastructure incidents, escalations and technical issues that affect project or service delivery.
- Ensure client expectations, technical scope and delivery commitments remain aligned throughout the engagement.
- Participate in service reviews and provide recommendations relating to infrastructure performance, lifecycle planning, support requirements and future improvements.
- Maintain professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including client management.
3. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate external technology vendors, contractors and specialist engineering resources supporting client projects.
- Obtain and review technical proposals, quotations, statements of work and implementation plans.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of infrastructure hardware, software, licensing and related services.
- Assess vendor proposals against client requirements, technical feasibility, project scope and budget.
- Manage vendor deliverables, implementation schedules and service commitments.
- Coordinate specialist resources where projects require skills outside the internal team's scope.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve delivery issues or escalate where necessary.
- Maintain effective working relationships across a network of technology suppliers and service providers.
4. Infrastructure & Cloud Technical Oversight
- Provide technical oversight across client infrastructure environments, including:
- Servers and virtual machines
- VMware and private-cloud environments

- Coordinate deployment, configuration, migration and upgrade activities with internal or specialist technical resources.
- Participate in infrastructure troubleshooting and technical escalation where required.
- Review technical implementation performed by engineers and vendors to ensure that agreed requirements have been addressed.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle planning and identify requirements for upgrades, replacement or improvement.
- Coordinate backup, recovery and business-continuity requirements as part of infrastructure projects.
- Maintain awareness of cloud and virtual infrastructure dependencies when planning wider IT deployments and migrations.
5. Infrastructure Deployment & Data Centre Projects
- Lead or coordinate infrastructure deployments across offices, client sites and data centres.
- Plan technical site activities including equipment installation, network connectivity, server and infrastructure deployment, testing and handover.
- Coordinate data-centre moves, exits, equipment relocation and decommissioning activities.
- Work with specialist engineers and vendors on cabling, network, server, storage, connectivity and other infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are followed for equipment handling, access, change control and secure disposal or handling of data-bearing equipment.
- Coordinate technical activities across multiple sites where projects involve regional or distributed deployments.
- Ensure project documentation accurately reflects the final deployed environment.
6. Infrastructure Migrations & Upgrades
- Coordinate infrastructure migration and upgrade projects involving servers, workstations, networks, cloud services and enterprise applications.
- Develop migration schedules and coordinate technical resources, client stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Identify technical dependencies, downtime requirements, rollback considerations and business-impact risks.
- Support migration planning and validation without assuming that every specialist migration activity must be performed personally.
- Coordinate pre-migration checks, implementation activities, testing, issue resolution and post-migration support.
- Ensure appropriate handover documentation is completed following migration activities.
7. Service Management, SLA & Escalation
- Manage technical delivery against agreed service levels, project commitments and client expectations.

- Support root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews for significant technical incidents.
- Track recurring infrastructure issues and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Ensure appropriate escalation and communication procedures are followed during major incidents or critical project issues.
- Maintain accurate service and project records to support operational continuity.
8. Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain technical and project documentation including infrastructure records, implementation plans, change records, risk registers and handover documentation.
- Support client requirements relating to information security, operational controls and compliance.
- Coordinate documentation required for ISO 27001, PDPA and client-specific governance requirements.
- Participate in access-control reviews, change-control processes and infrastructure compliance activities.
- Ensure project and operational activities follow approved company and client procedures.
- Support audits, vendor assessments and client governance reviews where required.
- Ensure appropriate technical records are retained following infrastructure changes and project completion.
9. Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Support
- Work with business development and sales teams to understand client requirements and develop practical technical solutions.
- Review client requirements and recommend appropriate infrastructure, cloud, networking, hardware and support services.
- Assist with solution scoping, bills of materials, resource estimates and project effort calculations.
- Participate in client presentations and technical discussions where infrastructure expertise is required.
- Review proposed solutions for technical feasibility, implementation requirements and ongoing support implications.
- Support preparation of statements of work, technical proposals and project quotations.
10. Team Coordination & Knowledge Transfer
- Coordinate internal technical resources across multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Allocate or recommend appropriate technical resources based on project requirements and specialist skills.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior support and infrastructure personnel.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer between project teams, vendors and operational support teams.
