Main Objective:

The Senior Manager, Commercial Finance – APAC is a key leadership role within the regional Finance organization. The role partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, HR, and Operations leaders to drive revenue growth, strengthen margin performance, enhance financial governance and build organization capabilities across the APAC region. This position provides financial commercial leadership across Reporting, Pricing, FP&A, and Commercial decision support, while playing a lead role in designing and enabling business tools and capabilities to support the rapid commercial growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to the APAC Commercial Director and regional commercial leadership.
  • Provide forward‑looking financial insights and strategic recommendations to support revenue growth, pricing strategy, and market share expansion.
  • Own the regional roadmap for commercial finance data, reporting and planning capabilities—including CRM, Power BI, Databricks and TM1—in partnership with IT and data teams; establish trusted data, scalable self-service analytics, clear controls and measurable adoption
  • Partner with Commercial Excellence teams to drive CRM effectiveness across APAC, including sales pipeline management, opportunity tracking, territory performance analysis, account planning and commercial KPI reporting.
  • Translate commercial strategies into clear financial scenarios, risks, sensitivities, and actionable plans.
  • Lead financial evaluation for key commercial initiatives, including product launches, go‑to‑market models, distributor and channel strategies, and major deal reviews.
  • Strengthen commercial performance management through enhanced forecasting accuracy, KPI visibility, and sales incentive effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional stakeholders:
  • Sales Leadership – forecast accuracy, performance analytics, deal economics, incentive plan insights
  • Marketing & Product Management – business cases, lifecycle profitability, ROI assessments, portfolio optimization
  • HR (C&B) – compensation modeling, sales incentive design, quota alignment, headcount planning
  • Operations & Supply Chain – COGS transparency, mix/inventory optimization, margin improvement initiatives

FP&A Leadership & Network Management

  • Lead the APAC FP&A community across countries and sub-regions through agreed governance, planning calendars, common standards and capability development; directly manage two team members and influence market finance leads.
  • Build strong relationships within market FP&A and commercial finance teams
  • Establish standardized forecasting methodologies, reporting structures, and KPI frameworks while allowing appropriate local market flexibility.
  • Improve the insightfulness, quality, and timeliness of financial reporting through enhanced dashboards, tools, and performance management routines.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop FP&A talent across the region to strengthen commercial finance capability and succession depth.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Contribute to the APAC long‑range planning and budgeting process while integrating inventory and supply planning into financial operating plans.
  • Provide input and support for Global FP&A projects, including redefining budgeting processes and systems
  • Embed approved AI and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot where appropriate, into FP&A workflows to accelerate data preparation, variance analysis, scenario generation and first-draft management commentary, while retaining human review and accountability for all financial outputs
  • Provide analytical rigor, challenge assumptions, and ensure alignment with Arthrex’s global strategy.
  • Partner with market finance teams and regional functional leaders to balance growth ambitions with fiscal discipline.
  • Deliver clear and compelling financial narratives for APAC and global leadership reviews.

Pricing Strategy, Assessments & Improvement

  • Lead regional pricing strategy and assessment across products, markets, and customer segments, ensuring alignment with commercial and competitive dynamics.
  • Evaluate pricing effectiveness, discounting behavior, tender outcomes, and margin performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial and International Product Marketing to strengthen pricing governance, improve process clarity, and advance value‑based pricing practices.
  • Enhance pricing controls, compliance, and approval mechanisms while supporting market agility and commercial needs.

Acquisition Integration

  • Support finance leadership in acquisition integration activities across APAC.
  • Coordinate and consolidate financial reporting, operational strategies, and integration of deliverables.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to align processes, systems, and commercial activities for newly integrated businesses.
  • Track progress against integration milestones and support project management activities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (CPA, CFA, ACCA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including commercial finance and FP&A roles in multinational organizations.
  • Strong experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated technology-driven industries.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior commercial leaders and influence strategic decision‑making.
  • Experience leading regional or matrix-based finance teams across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pricing, margin management, and commercial analytics.
  • Experience with M&A or acquisition integration strongly preferred.
