We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to take a leadership role in managing and optimising our enterprise and data center networks. In this position, you will lead problem management, oversee high-complexity network issues, and drive infrastructure improvements while mentoring junior engineers. This is a key role for professionals looking to shape network strategy, influence design decisions, and ensure resilient, high-performance network operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex technical problems and underlying issues that cause incidents or disruptions in infrastructure and network operations.

• Lead problem management procedures to identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and prevent recurrence.

• Manage all technical escalations from engineers, ensuring timely resolution and knowledge transfer.

• Monitor the full lifecycle of problems, documenting findings, workarounds, and long-term solutions.

• Perform high-level configuration, support, and troubleshooting for network infrastructure.

• Develop action plans and timelines for major upgrade activities, ensuring smooth execution with minimal impact.

• Propose infrastructure improvements and future upgrades to align with evolving business and user needs.

• Test systems in advance of upgrades or updates to evaluate performance impact and risks.

• Review and analyse network performance, identifying opportunities to optimise capacity, stability, and efficiency.

• Evaluate and approve high complexity change requests in compliance with standard change management processes.

• Direct recovery and resolution efforts during network faults or downtime, ensuring alignment with SLAs.

• Recommend and implement adjustments to traffic flow, redundancy, or system design to improve resilience.

• Configure and program basic rules into SDN applications, controllers, and network components.

• Monitor the health and performance of SDN solutions, recommending adjustments to rules and policies as needed.

• Implement traffic flow adjustments across the network to support evolving operational needs.

• Create, refine, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for engineers to follow.

• Document infrastructure problems, solutions, and preventive measures for organisational knowledge.

• Organise technical knowledge into user guides and training materials to upskill teams.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, ensuring best practices in operations, troubleshooting, and escalation.

• Education: Degree or Equivalent

• Experience: 6–10 years of IT or networking experience.

• Technical / Professional Skills: Certification – CCNP (min), CCIE (Preferable)

• Networking Knowledge:
