The posting

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our Network Operations and Engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a team responsible for Network Engineering, Operations & Deployment, supporting enterprise data centre, office, remote and public cloud network environments.
  • This is a technical hands-on role within the Network Services team as a Senior Network & Security Engineer.
  • Lead network deployment projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation of network solutions.
  • Work closely with vendors and third-party providers for solution architecture, equipment procurement and installation.
  • Provide Tier-3 support for network and security-related issues and participate in a rotating Network Operations on-call schedule, including weekends, supporting a multi-vendor enterprise network.
  • Create, maintain and review High Level Design, Low Level Design and operational practices across the teams.
  • Drive network operations and day-to-day task efficiencies through automation.
  • Experience in deploying and working with AI tools applied to network operations, including AIOps platforms, AI-assisted troubleshooting and anomaly detection.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring AI integration solutions that enable large language models to interact with and query network infrastructure and operational data is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 8–14 years of experience in core network technologies, including enterprise networking, firewalls, load balancing and web application security.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex network data centre or public cloud migration projects.
  • Proven ability to implement and oversee large-scale network deployments.
  • One or more of the following certifications: CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, CCSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or equivalent.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge in LAN, WAN and network security technologies and products.
  • Excellent project and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences and senior management.

Mandatory Skillsets

  • Expertise in enterprise network infrastructure and Cisco ACI deployments.
  • Expertise in application delivery network technologies, including load balancers and WAF solutions.
  • Expertise in managing enterprise firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.

Good-to-Have Skillsets

  • Experience with proxy and CDN technologies.
  • Experience managing IPAM, DNS and DHCP solutions.
  • Experience managing network micro-segmentation and network security solutions.
  • Experience managing enterprise voice and communication infrastructure.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management platforms.
  • Experience performing deep packet capture analysis using Wireshark or similar products.
  • Experience in network automation using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience managing network access control, identity-based network security and firewall policy management solutions.
