Job Responsibilities:
- Lead an architectural design or project team, providing technical leadership on design matters
- Guide team members to develop optimised design solutions that meet client requirements
- Participate in business development efforts, including meetings to target markets, clients, and project opportunities
- Prepare and develop architectural designs
- Conduct feasibility studies and deliver design proposal presentations
- Liaise with clients on project-related matters and requirements
- Negotiate with contractors on design intent and construction progress
- Administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with design intent and relevant building codes
- Oversee on-site progress, ensuring works are carried out according to plans and resolving issues as they arise
- Manage multiple projects concurrently (typically 3–4 projects)
- Collaborate with engineers and surveyors to ensure compliance with required standards
- Potentially assume roles such as Lead Architect, Project Director (PD), or Project Lead (PL), including involvement in project P&L and resource planning
Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Architecture from a university accredited by the Board of Architects (BOA).
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in design management, design and planning. Registered Architect with a valid practising licence will be an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects concurrently, with strong design and project management capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors and consultants.
- Experience in contract administration and site coordination.
