Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be assisting theManager in all the tendering process, price negotiation and contract awards,preparation of contracts to clients, projects handling process includingclosing up final account. You will be responsible to perform all the requiredjob responsibilities stated below.
Responsibilities
1) Manage Pre-tender to Post-Contract stages, managerisk and control cost.
2) Monitor and respond to tender enquiries, analyze,review and prepare tender pricing analysis for Manager's review.
3) Highlight and list down deviations or specialrequirements during tender stage and clarify with Main Contractors, ifnecessary.
4) Responsible for submission of tenders, prepare andmanage contracts and highlight/advise on any contractual matters.
5) Coordinates and arrange site visit (if necessary), toget relevant details required for Pre-tendering stages.
6) Prepare Tender Analysis upon every tender submissionfor management's information and review.
7) Prepare contract documents, quantity take-off (ifnecessary), monitor variation work, provide cost estimation and manager costinformation.
8) Preparation of project budget for management'sapproval upon project award.
9) Organize kick-off meetings with various departmentsfor every project being awarded to brief on project schedule, procurementplanning and delivery schedule.
10) Sourcing of pricings for materials or subcontractwork and prepare cost comparison for pricing analysis purposes and discuss withmanagement.
11) Arrange and carry out tender interviews, negotiateof price with suppliers and subcontractors including of preparation ofsub-contract agreement/letter of award.
12) Responds to all subcontractors or Supplier'sprogress claims. Evaluate, certify and issue Payment Response to subcontractorswithin the monthly time frame as set out in Security of Payments Acts (SOP).
13) Responsible to all projects' monthly progress claimsubmission to the customers. Ensure that the customers' Payment Response areissued within the monthly time frame as set out in Security of Payments Acts(SOP).
14) Project administration and documentation includingclosing of final accounts with the subcontractors / suppliers and clients.
15) Ensure customers' requirement are determined andmet, thus enhance customer satisfaction.
16) Train, brief & supervise work (to quantitysurveyor) and control process to work instructions / standard work methods andprocess plans.
17) Perform any other duties as assigned by theManagement and the designated Manager.
Requirements
1) Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering / Building /Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
2) Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience inQuantity Surveying in a precast concrete / construction industry.
3) Knowledge of Security of Payments Acts (SOP).
4) Proficient in MS Office.
5) Strong verbal and written communication skills aswell as customer relation skills.
6) Able to adopt and work in a fast-pace environment.
7) Possess teamwork spirit to work with other quantitysurveyors to accomplish the task.
8) Possess positive working attitudes and sociable withcolleagues.
9) Show independency ability to multi-task, prioritizeand organize tasks.
10)Possess good problem definition / analytical and problem-solving skills.
