The posting

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to manage façade and structural steel works, including site execution, technical documentation, planning and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

* Manage daily site operations for façade, aluminium cladding and structural steel works.

* Prepare Method Statements (MOS), installation procedures and work sequences.

* Coordinate the preparation of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and relevant safety submissions.

* Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, including site photographs, manpower records and work status.

* Prepare work programmes, look-ahead schedules, material requisitions and delivery schedules.

* Plan and supervise manpower, subcontractors, materials, equipment and installation activities.

* Review approved drawings and coordinate shop drawings, fabrication details and site measurements.

* Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFI), material submissions and inspection requests.

* Coordinate fabrication, delivery, lifting, steel erection and façade installation.

* Liaise with main contractors, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve site and technical issues.

* Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality requirements.

* Coordinate inspections for welding, bolted connections, coatings, cladding and completed works.

* Attend site meetings, provide progress updates and follow up on action items.

* Monitor progress, identify delays and implement recovery plans.

* Maintain site records, inspection checklists, delivery records and supporting documents for progress claims and variations.

* Manage defects rectification and coordinate as-built drawings, warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documents.

* Enforce site safety requirements, including working at height and lifting operations.

Requirements

* Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in façade and structural steel works, including site supervision or management.

* Able to interpret architectural, structural, shop and fabrication drawings.

* Experienced in preparing method statements, work programmes, technical submissions and progress reports.

* Familiar with steel erection, welding, bolted connections and façade installation.

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and project reporting; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

* Strong leadership, planning, communication and coordination skills.

* Relevant construction safety qualifications are an advantage.
