Job Summary

You will ensure workplace safety compliance by supervising workers and subcontractors, issuing EHS instructions, conducting inspections, and managing permits to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain workplace safety by ensuring tools, equipment, and work methods comply with all safety regulations
  • Communicate EHS policies clearly to workers and subcontractors to promote safe practices
  • Supervise workers and subcontractors directly to enforce safety standards and procedures
  • Issue specific EHS instructions to workers and subcontractors to guide safe work execution
  • Verify that each worker has the necessary knowledge, tools, equipment, and PPE to perform tasks safely
  • Conduct daily inspections of work areas to enforce safety standards and demonstrate support for safe operations
  • Identify and promptly address any safety issues or corrective actions required in the work area
  • Ensure valid Permit-to-Work documents are posted visibly at high-risk construction sites and remain until expiry or revocation
  • Participate actively in toolbox meetings to discuss safety topics and updates
  • Engage in formal EHS inspections, patrols, and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
  • Report and be accountable to the site engineer for the overall environmental, health, and safety conditions of all subcontractors and workers under supervision
  • Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to undertake night shift duties as required
  • Willingness to undertake night shift duty.
