Site Supervisor (Sewer Works & Pipe Jacking)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations for sewerage works, including pipe laying, pipe jacking, shaft construction and manhole works.
- Plan and arrange daily manpower, machinery, materials and work activities to achieve project schedules.
- Ensure all site works are carried out in accordance with approved construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate with main contractors, engineers, surveyors, safety officers and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Monitor site progress, workmanship quality, pipe alignment, levels and construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, safe work procedures and applicable PUB requirements.
- Supervise workers and subcontractors, provide clear daily work instructions and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Identify and report site issues, underground obstructions, unforeseen ground conditions, delays and additional works to the Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate daily site records, including work progress, manpower, machinery usage, completed quantities and site photographs.
- Assist in site inspections, testing, defect rectification and completion of works.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sewerage works, pipe jacking or underground civil engineering works.
- Able to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of sewer pipe laying, manhole construction and pipe jacking operations is preferred.
- Familiar with Singapore construction safety requirements and PUB standards.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage daily site operations.
- Relevant WSH supervisory certifications will be an advantage.
- Willing to work on-site and perform shift or night works when required.
