Role: Java Developer
Mandatory Skill: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring WebFlux
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build reactive, non-blocking, and high-performance applications using Spring WebFlux.
- Design and develop scalable microservices using modern software engineering practices.
- Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other technology stakeholders.
- Translate functional and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement permanent fixes.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
- Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality.
- Support application deployment, production releases, and post-deployment issue resolution.
- Contribute to performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and security improvements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to application design, APIs, and operational procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
- 6–9 years of professional experience in Java application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, preferably Java 8 or above.
- Strong experience developing applications using Spring Boot.
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Spring WebFlux and reactive programming.
- Strong experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, service integration, and distributed systems.
- Experience with reactive programming concepts such as Mono, Flux, backpressure, and non-blocking I/O.
- Good understanding of application performance, scalability, exception handling, and resilience.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Spring Cloud, API gateways, service discovery, circuit breakers, and distributed configuration.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of observability tools, including centralized logging, application metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, payments, or other regulated enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and enterprise application security.
