Working hour
- Mondays to Fridays: 7.30 am to 4.00 pm
Key Roles
- Support JOULES programme: prepare and set up equipment (micro:bit, circuits, sensors, solar panels, m5GO), manage Smart Centre booking, maintenance, and daily running
- Attend professional development sessions on STEM areas
- Assist trainers/teachers in helping students; conduct workshops/training preferred
- Conduct regular maintenance and stock checks; create and update inventory/checklists termly
- Record and condemn damaged/missing/broken equipment; ensure equipment kept in order
- Support ALP Committee in procuring items; keep Smart Centre clean and tidy
- Support Maker Culture: supervise students in safe use of Makerspace, establish safety/security/training/access procedures
- Manage Makerspace budget and resources (equipment, software, materials) with ALP Committee
- Participate in layout, installation, and operation of equipment (3D printers, laser cutters, VR systems)
- Assist in safety and maintenance of equipment and tooling; collaborate with STEM Committee
- Keep Makerspace clean and tidy at all times
Requirements
- Effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Polytechnic diploma, preferably STEM-related, with 3 years' relevant experience
- Knowledge of processes, machines, fabricating techniques, and materials in prototyping/manufacturing useful
