The posting

Structural Steel Engineer

  • Strong understanding construction drawing, material and method
  • Carry out construction work scheduling, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation
  • Maintain records of works, materials and all completed works
  • Keeping track on variation and claims of contract and costimpact and feedback information to the PM
  • Implement cost control measures to meet project budget
  • Site co-ordination with all concerned parties and to resolve site issues
  • Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation,according to the Project Management Plan.
  • Liaising with consultants on design analysis, design work,design check for approval and to resolve technical issues on site.
  • Site inspection for civil work, which includes excavation,structural, casting and ensure that the work is executed as per the project specification and construction drawing/final approved drawing from authorities.
  • Ensure site supervisor / worker carried out meet out quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • To control materials, plan the overall schedule and implement specific planning measures
  • Assist in project planning, defining scope, and maintaining project schedules.
  • Maintain project documentation, contracts, change orders, and reports.
  • Monitor and control master programme
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Project Manager

Requirements:

  • Degree or Postgraduate master's in Engineering (Civil or Structural) or related field recognised by Professional Engineers (Approved Qualifications) / Singapore Institute of Technology / National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University / the Singapore University of Technology and Design/ Commissioner-specified/Resident Engineer-accepted institution.
  • The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel field, with at least completed one project as track record.
