The posting

This role combines systems administration, scripting, and process improvement to reduce manual work, improve reliability, and support day-to-day IT operations. Working closely with the Site Reliability Engineer, you will help maintain core systems, drive meaningful automation, and contribute to a more efficient and stable IT environment for our engineering teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Ownership of local network connectivity, including switching, VLAN design, inter-VLAN routing, wireless, firewall policy, site-to-site VPN, and network segmentation. Maintain accurate documentations.
  2. Administer core infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization (Proxmox/PVE or equivalent), storage, backup and restore, and Microsoft Entra ID / Microsoft 365 identity and access management.
  3. Maintain endpoints and workstations for engineering systems like SolidWorks, MES, etc. Provide level 1 and level 2support when necessary.
  4. Improve and maintain cybersecurity ofnetwork, servers and endpoints, including patching, system hardening,least-privilege access, logging and alerting, and periodic access reviews.Manage any IT related incident.
  5. Manage IT vendors and IT assets.
  6. IT automation using PowerShell, MicrosoftPower Automate, etc, where appropriate
  7. Routine IT administration, including onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and ad-hoc IT related support for the company.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on IT experience with knowledge in VLAN design, switching, firewall policy, VPN, and wireless. With an active CCNA certificate is a strong advantage.
  2. Systems administration experience covering Windows Server and Linux, plus virtualization (Proxmox/PVE, or equivalent).
  3. Practical identity and access administration in Microsoft Entra ID / Microsoft 365, or Active Directory integrated with Entra.
  4. Endpoint and workstation support experience.
  5. Familiar with operational security practices (patching, hardening, access restriction, and logging).
  6. Ability to work independently in a small team, good documentation habits and good communication skills.

  • Dual-site or China/APAC VPN operations
  • Bilingual English and Mandarin
  • A diploma or degree in IT or a related field is preferred but not required where equivalent hands-on experience is demonstrated.
