The posting

We are working with a Singapore-based investment firm to hire a Tech & Operations Analyst. Our client invests in technology businesses and works closely with its portfolio companies through a small, hands-on team.

The role

You will build and maintain internal tools and coordinate technology risk and compliance activities. The role combines hands-on development with project management, working closely with an external compliance advisor and an outsourced IT provider. Over time, you will also provide light-touch technical support to portfolio companies.

Role focus

• Internal tools & product (60-70%): build and maintain internal systems as the primary owner.

• Technology risk coordination (30-40%): project-manage and track activities, supported by external subject-matter experts.

• Portfolio company support: provide light-touch technical guidance on request, with this aspect expected to grow over time as capacity allows.

Internal tools & product

• Take over the build-out and ongoing maintenance of an internal CRM currently in active development.

• Maintain and extend the internal technology stack, including AI-enabled systems, databases, automations and connectors across core productivity and collaboration tools.

• Build small internal tools and workflows to support the investment and fund operations teams.

• Own data hygiene across systems, working with the portfolio and fund operations teams.

Technology risk coordination

• Manage technology activities on the compliance calendar: drive progress, follow up with owners and ensure supporting evidence is filed. The compliance advisor provides subject-matter expertise, while the outsourced IT provider manages day-to-day IT operations.

• Build and maintain the technology asset inventory, keeping it current as tools are added or retired.

• Extend multi-factor authentication coverage across platforms and document completion.

• Coordinate periodic user access reviews and penetration testing with the IT provider.

• Track monthly IT monitoring reports covering backups, patching and vulnerabilities, and escalate exceptions.

• Maintain an AI use register documenting tools, data flows and approvals.

• Prepare the technology section of the quarterly board report on IT and cybersecurity.

• Produce first-pass technology risk reviews of new tools, SaaS products and vendors before onboarding, for partner sign-off.

Portfolio company support

• Provide light-touch technical guidance to portfolio companies on request, including tooling choices and technical introductions.

• Take on a larger portfolio support remit over time as capacity allows.

Requirements

• A technical background in computer science, engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Ability to build and ship using a modern web stack, such as React or similar, with cloud platforms such as Vercel and Supabase.

• Comfort with SaaS administration and no-code/low-code tools, such as Airtable and automation platforms.

• Strong organisation and ability to work independently, including following up with stakeholders to completion without formal authority.

• Clear written English and the ability to produce documentation that auditors or regulators can follow.

• Experience in financial services, regtech or with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) requirements is a plus, but is not required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
