Project Description: Our Customer is one of the world's largest investment management companies. Based in Southern California, our client manages close to $2 trillion in assets and is looking for a new partner to participate in a full scale upgrade of their technology. The position will act as a regional representative and a bridge between traders, business stakeholders, and technology teams. The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time supporting traders and resolving operational challenges, and 50% collaborating with development teams to deliver enhancements, define requirements, and drive the product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary regional contact for traders and business stakeholders. • Understand trading workflows, operational challenges, and business requirements. • Analyze issues and identify solutions within existing platforms and processes. • Define, prioritize, and refine development requirements and user stories. • Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. • Contribute to product strategy and long-term roadmap planning. • Coordinate with global teams to align business priorities and technology solutions. • Provide incident management, root cause analysis, and production support. • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational excellence. • Act as an advocate for regional business needs within global product discussions.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• At least 5-7 years of relevant working experience • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills. • Experience with product ownership, business analysis, or application support. • Strong SQL and database knowledge (Oracle/PL-SQL preferred). • Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and log analysis. • Windows service administration and troubleshooting. • Data processing, reporting, monitoring, and performance analysis. • Python scripting and automation. • Hands-on AWS experience. • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
• Trading, commodities, energy, or financial systems support. • Agile delivery methodologies and backlog management. • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
