Technical Manager – Cloud

Location: Singapore Employment Type: Permanent Experience: 6+ years

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager – Cloud to lead the design, deployment, and operations of enterprise cloud environments across AWS and Azure. The role covers both cloud implementation and ongoing operations, with a strong focus on security, automation, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of AWS and Azure cloud architectures aligned with enterprise security and technology standards.
  • Oversee cloud deployment, migration, integration, and Day 1 / Day 2 operations.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and deployment approaches.
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, automation, and monitoring initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and lead the resolution of cloud infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture and operational documentation.
  • Plan and conduct disaster recovery testing and simulations for critical workloads.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on cloud infrastructure and operations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure deployment and operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, networking, scalability, and resilience.
  • Experience with Day 1 deployment and Day 2 operations, including monitoring, optimisation, and incident management.
  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments is an advantage.
  • Scripting experience with Python or similar languages is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or government projects in Singapore is preferred.
