Role Overview
A leading high-tech manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical & ELV specialist to support a major facility development project in Singapore.
You will act as the technical lead for electrical and ELV systems, working across design, construction, commissioning and handover. The role involves reviewing technical designs, working with EPC contractors and suppliers, and ensuring critical facility systems meet operational, safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership for electrical and ELV systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review design submissions, RFIs and proposed design changes.
• Provide technical expertise across power distribution, power quality, emergency power and critical power infrastructure.
• Review power system studies, protection coordination and control system architectures.
• Provide technical input on FMCS, SCADA, fire alarm, security and communications systems.
• Assess proposed solutions from technical, cost, schedule, operational and maintainability perspectives.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and value engineering exercises.
• Interface with EPC contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers.
• Work with Production, Process Engineering, Facilities and EHS stakeholders.
• Support technical evaluations and procurement of major electrical and ELV systems.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, qualification and handover.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Singapore regulations, standards and utility requirements.
Requirements
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, industrial, data centre or other high-tech facility projects.
• Experience across design, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, power quality, protection coordination and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience with FMCS/SCADA, fire alarm, security, communications and other ELV systems.
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery, design management and change management.
• Knowledge of Singapore electrical regulations, standards and utility connection requirements.
• Professional Engineer registration or Licensed Electrical Worker certification is advantageous.
• Exposure to BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks is advantageous.
