Role Overview
• A high-tech manufacturing organisation is looking for a senior HVAC & Mechanical specialist to support a major facility development project in Singapore.
• The position will provide technical leadership across HVAC, cleanroom and mechanical utility systems, covering design review, construction, commissioning and operational handover. You will work closely with EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure systems meet technical, operational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead HVAC and Mechanical technical matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review design submissions, RFIs and proposed design changes.
• Provide technical expertise across HVAC, cleanroom and mechanical utility systems.
• Review solutions from technical, cost, schedule, operational and maintainability perspectives.
• Participate in design safety, risk assessment and value engineering reviews.
• Work closely with EPC contractors, consultants and vendors.
• Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering and EHS teams.
• Resolve technical issues and manage interfaces between different project disciplines.
• Support technical evaluations and procurement of major mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, qualification and handover.
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, industrial, data centre or other high-tech facility projects.
• Experience across design, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cleanroom and mechanical utility systems.
• Experience with chilled water, cooling water, Clean Dry Air (CDA), process exhaust and utility infrastructure.
• Familiarity with EPC project delivery, design management and change management.
• Professional Engineer registration is advantageous.
• Exposure to BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks is advantageous.
