Role Purpose

Sunollo is a fast-growing residential solar company in Singapore. We are looking for a Technical Specialist with an electrical engineering background to provide desk-based technical assurance across our solar projects.

The role is responsible for ensuring that project designs, electrical documentation and approval submissions are complete, technically correct and first-time right before they move to installation or regulatory submission.

The Technical Specialist will also provide technical support for electrical faults and customer issues across both ongoing and completed solar projects.

Key Ownership Areas

1. Project Technical Review & Design Validation

  • Review approximately 40–60 projects per month before they are released to installation partners.
  • Check Single-Line Diagrams, electrical drawings, rooftop panel layouts and related project documentation.
  • Validate system configuration, including panel layout, inverter selection, battery configuration and electrical connections.
  • Review relevant electrical calculations, including voltage, current and system capacity.
  • Identify technical errors, inconsistencies or missing information and coordinate corrections before project handover.
  • Ensure installers receive a complete and technically accurate project package.

Success looks like: Projects are installation-ready, technically correct and released with minimal downstream clarification, rework or design changes.

2. Permitting & LEW Submission Readiness

  • Prepare and review technical documentation required for solar permitting and approval processes.
  • Coordinate with Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs) for regulatory submissions.
  • Check that submission packages contain complete and accurate information, including electrical drawings, SLDs, system details, meter information, photographs and supporting documentation.
  • Identify missing or incorrect information before submission and coordinate with Sales, Operations or other teams to close gaps.
  • Support technical clarification requests arising during the approval process.
  • Develop a working understanding of Singapore solar approval requirements and interactions with relevant authorities.

Success looks like: High first-time-right submission quality, fewer rejected or incomplete submissions, and reduced permitting delays caused by documentation errors.

3. Electrical Troubleshooting & Customer Support

  • Act as the technical point of contact for electrical issues escalated by Customer Experience, Operations, Maintenance or Installation teams.
  • Review drawings and system configurations to diagnose potential causes of faults or performance issues.
  • Support Project Managers, maintenance engineers and installers with electrical troubleshooting during installation, commissioning or after system activation.
  • Provide technical guidance on panels, inverters, batteries, wiring, cabling and electrical connections.
  • Explain technical issues and proposed solutions clearly to customers when required.
  • Track allocated technical cases through to satisfactory closure.

Success looks like: Technical issues are diagnosed accurately, resolved within agreed timelines, and communicated clearly to both internal teams and customers.

4. Process Excellence & First-Time-Right Delivery

  • Continually improve the quality of project documentation provided to installers and LEWs.
  • Develop and maintain technical checklists and validation standards.
  • Identify recurring documentation, design or submission errors and eliminate their root causes.
  • Work across Sales, Operations, Customer Experience, Maintenance and installation partners to improve information flow.
  • Standardise project documentation and review processes as Sunollo scales.
  • Track common technical errors and recommend improvements to systems, templates and workflows.

Success looks like: A progressively more reliable process with fewer errors, fewer handbacks, less rework and faster movement from sale to approval and installation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
