Role Overview
The Team Lead(Forward Deploy) is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of smart city, IoT, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires overseeing cross-functional teams to deploy technical solutions, manage inter-agency stakeholder relationships, ensure rigorous security compliance, and transition architectures from concept to operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Project/Product Delivery: Drive the full development/deployment lifecycle, contractor management, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), MVP deployment, and full commissioning.
- Security & Governance Compliance: Oversee Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) cycles, resolve critical vulnerabilities, and navigate Change Control Boards (CCB), Project Management Reviews, Product Management Meetings and Technical Architecture clinics to ensure compliance with central security guidelines.
- Inter-Agency Stakeholder Management: Facilitate alignment and continuous updates with multiple government stakeholders, steering committees, and senior management to ensure strategic goals and billing adjustments are met.
- Systems Integration & Infrastructure: Manage the deployment of cloud infrastructures, IoT sensor integrations, and data pipelines (e.g., edge-to-cloud connections), ensuring stable performance and scalability.
- Strategic Scoping & Service Design: Work with Designers, to conduct service blueprint workshops, map user stories, and define project value propositions (the "North Star") to ensure solutions directly address operational pain points.
- Resource & Architecture Optimization: Review system architectures, consolidate resources across similar use cases, and evaluate build methodologies to optimize development time and costs.
- Knowledge & Documentation Management: Institutionalize project/product decisions, troubleshooting metrics, and deployment playbooks using knowledge management tools and AI-assisted documentation.
Preferred Qualifications & Technical Acumen
- Proven experience managing concurrent technical projects involving hardware deployment, sensor networks, and software integration.
- Systems Engineering Frameworks: Familiarity with structured systems engineering methodologies, such as the INCOSE life cycle framework and ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 standards, is highly advantageous (though not mandatory) for framing Whole-of-Government Operational Technology initiatives. Ideally to certify later.
- Familiarity with government procurement,
- Strong Famililiarity for cloud platforms, and cyber hygiene practices (VAPT, Threat Modeling).
- Ability to translate complex technical constraints (e.g., AI predictive performance, system latency) to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Experience in conducting cost-benefit analyses (CBA) and crafting funding clearance papers
