Job Overview
The Technology Risk Specialist (Governance) will support technology governance activities for an IBM banking customer, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance processes across multiple domains, including:
- Technology Refresh / End of Support (EOS)
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Non-Security Patch Management
- Free & Open Source Software (FOSS)
The consultant will be responsible for governance reporting, stakeholder management, risk monitoring, assessment and attestation exercises, documentation management, and driving process improvements through automationand AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with Technology, Risk, and Business stakeholders on governance initiatives.
- Prepare and manage periodic and ad-hoc governance reports.
- Track remediation plans and follow up on risk action items.
- Coordinate annual and bi-annual assessment and attestation exercises.
- Maintain governance standards, process guides, playbooks, and related artifacts.
- Develop automation or AI-driven solutions to improve governance processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide governance advisory and control guidance to stakeholders.
- Conduct continuous monitoring to identify and mitigate technology risks.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Technology Risk, IT Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, or IT Audit.
- Experience within Banking or Financial Services environments preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Technology Refresh / EOS
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Non-Security Patch Management
- FOSS Governance
- Technology Risk Management
- IT Governance & Controls
Preferred Qualifications
- CRISC Certification
- CISA Certification
- Experience working within highly regulated financial institutions.
