About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Warehouse Robotics & Automation Installation Supervisor to lead the on-site deployment of next-generation automated logistics systems. In this role, you will supervise installation crews, mechanical/electrical technicians, and contractors. You will be responsible for taking warehouse automation projects from blueprinted designs through physical installation, wiring, testing, and final commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to precise technical specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise daily activities of mechanical installers, electrical technicians, and third-party contractors on-site.
- Oversee the physical build, alignment, and leveling of advanced automated systems, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) tracks, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) grids, conveyors, and sorting networks.
- Supervise the routing of cables, control panel installation, and connection of sensors, actuators, and PLC modules.
- Conduct initial hardware checks, power-up protocols, and system calibration. Partner with software and robotics engineers to perform functional acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
- Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and material deliveries. Provide daily progress reports, manage on-site punch lists, and escalate technical blockers to project managers.
- Enforce strict OSHA/WSH site safety regulations. Ensure all hot work, rigging, and electrical lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols are flawlessly executed.
About you
- Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related trade qualification.
- 3+ years of experience supervising heavy machinery, industrial automation, or robotics installation projects within fulfillment, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, layouts, and P&ID diagrams.
- Solid understanding of precision alignment tools (lasers, transits), rigging equipment, and electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters).
- Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites (often up to 70-80% travel depending on deployment schedules).
- Strong communication skills with a proven track record of managing diverse contractor teams under tight deadlines.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary with comprehensive travel allowances, per diems, and lodging coverage.
- Performance-based project completion bonuses.
- Exposure to cutting-edge robotics technology and end-to-end engineering lifecycles.
- Full medical, health, and wellness benefits packages.
