Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments at project sites and recommend measures to minimize or eliminate risks to personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain a strong safety regime on site
- Lead toolbox meetings and ensure the permit to work system is properly enforced
- Apply and uphold the Company's QEHS Management System, WSH Act, and occupational safety and health practices consistently on site
- Liaise with Safety Managers on workplace safety, health, and environmental issues to maintain high safety standards
- Lead and advise teams on safety programs to improve workplace safety outcomes
- Review and maintain accurate site WSH records to ensure compliance and traceability
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Certificate in WSH Coordinator Course, Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course, or other relevant safety certifications from approved institutions
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the marine or construction industry
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate safety policies and collaborate with teams
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
