This role is for graduates from Nitec/ Higher Nitec looking for further study while securing employment. Company sponsored Work-Study Diploma from ITE while joining as full-time Technical Assistant.

[School Schedule]* 1 Day Per week return to school for class/ assessment [Work Schedule]* 12Hour Shift, EG: work 4 day rest 3 days, work 3 days, rest 4days | Fixed for the month but might be rotational.

Course available:

  • Work-Study Diploma in Microelectronics
  • Work-Study Diploma in Mechanical Systems Engineering (Operations & Maintenance)

ITE Entry requirement:

Higher Nitec

  • All courses from School of Engineering
  • All courses from School of Electronics & Info-Comm Technology

Successful candidates which passed criteria from ITE can expect a starting salary of $2,300 + allowance (if applicable).

We are looking for a Test Equipment Line Engineer - Technical Assistant to join our manufacturing engineering team and support the reliability, performance, and continuous operation of semiconductor test equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for equipment setup and conversion, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and day-to-day production line sustaining. You will work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues, support production requirements, and drive improvements in equipment performance, productivity, and quality.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support for semiconductor test equipment, testers, probers, hardware, and fixtures.
  • Perform equipment setup, product conversion, and qualification activities to support production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain stable production.
  • Support troubleshooting of tester, prober, setup, conversion, hardware, and device yield-related issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Support day-to-day production line sustaining activities and respond to equipment abnormalities in a timely manner.
  • Support Product Engineering in device hardware qualification, failure analysis, and debugging.
  • Work with Maintenance, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Support production conversion, new product setup, and other engineering activities to meet product delivery requirements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve equipment availability, reliability, and process capability.
  • Participate in quality, productivity, and continuous improvement projects (CIP).
  • Support achievement of production, quality, productivity, equipment performance, and cycle-time targets.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians or junior team members during major equipment issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company quality, safety, engineering, and operating procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant Education Nitec/ Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, product engineering, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related production environment is an advantage.
