Job Description

At DPR, roles and responsibilities are more than describing a job title—they are a commitment to building great things together. The job description(s) below defines core responsibilities and the scope of the role and is a starting point. Every employee is expected to lead from where they are, take ownership of outcomes, and always act in the best interest of the team, customer, project and organization.

As a purpose-driven organization on a journey to be most admired, we rely on trust, shared leadership, open communication, disciplined action and a deep respect for the individual to drive exceptional performance. Success is not just about what we build, but who we build and how we build it: with integrity, enjoyment, uniqueness and an ever-forward mindset.

Job Summary: Supports the successful delivery of Self-Perform Work (SPW) construction projects by applying working knowledge of project activities, methods, and leading practices in self-perform operations. Collaborates closely with SPW crews, project management teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure SPW scope requirements, production schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved. Contributes to efficient SPW execution by monitoring SPW crew productivity, tracking material usage, identifying both routine and non-routine project issues, and retrieving actionable solutions to maintain progress. Enhances SPW team performance by sharing practical project knowledge and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives focused on basic SPW tasks and processes.

Key Responsibilities: Assists in reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and submittals for SPW scopes, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project and crew requirements. Collaborates with SPW project managers, superintendents, and project teams to resolve standard technical questions related to self-perform scopes of work. Monitors SPW activity schedules and budgets, tracks labor productivity, and reports variances to support timely corrective actions for self-perform operations based on established guidelines. Supports the implementation of standard SPW-specific quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all phases of self-perform work. Prepares and maintains detailed SPW project documentation, including daily SPW crew reports, time and material logs, equipment usage records, and field change documentation. Identifies opportunities for incremental improvements in SPW processes and contributes to the development of leading practices with guidance. Actively participates in SPW coordination meetings and communicates field progress, production rates, and any issues to SPW crews, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
