Job Description

At DPR, roles and responsibilities are more than describing a job title—they are a commitment to building great things together. The job description(s) below defines core responsibilities and the scope of the role and is a starting point. Every employee is expected to lead from where they are, take ownership of outcomes, and always act in the best interest of the team, customer, project and organization.

As a purpose-driven organization on a journey to be most admired, we rely on trust, shared leadership, open communication, disciplined action and a deep respect for the individual to drive exceptional performance. Success is not just about what we build, but who we build and how we build it: with integrity, enjoyment, uniqueness and an ever-forward mindset.

Job Summary: Provides senior execution leadership for multiple mid-size projects or a large, complex construction project, with accountability for overall project outcomes. Leads project managers and senior project teams to ensure delivery aligned with DPR Construction’s safety, quality, planning, schedule, financial, and risk objectives. Partners with the General Superintendent and field operations executive-BU as a unified leadership team, sharing responsibility and accountability for project performance, field integration, and team leadership. Serves as the primary escalation point for complex execution, stakeholder, and contractual issues while maintaining strong client and trade partner relationships. Drives strategic improvement of the deal through active engagement of the Family of Companies and by fostering strategic partnerships with Self-Perform Work (SPW) executives and leaders to strengthen integrated delivery outcomes. Strengthens project performance and leadership capability through oversight, coaching, and disciplined execution practices.

Key Responsibilities: Leads execution of multiple mid-size projects or a large project, ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. Directs and supports project managers and project teams, providing guidance on complex execution challenges and decision-making. Serves as the primary point of escalation for significant project risks, client concerns, contractual matters, and performance issues. Oversees project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost controls, contract administration, and risk management strategies. Partners with superintendents and safety leadership to reinforce consistent field presence, safety leadership behaviors, and disciplined high-risk activity planning and execution. Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, designers, support resources, and key trade partners to support collaboration, issue resolution, and repeat work. Mentors and develops project leaders by providing coaching, performance feedback, and guidance on individualized development and training plans.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience: 10+years of experience in construction project management or operations required. Experience leading multiple mid-size projects or a large, complex project required.

Certifications and Licenses: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Anticipated starting pay range:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
