Job Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the Recreation Coordinator I, helps with the assessment of participant abilities, limitations, and preferences related to activities. Assists in planning and providing group and individual activities for the participants. Duties involve personal contact with participants and logistical support in coordinating & implementing recreation programs. Tasks also involve progress documentation, other record keeping, attention to the environment, use of supplies and equipment, and maintenance of storage areas. Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Minimum educational requirements include a high school diploma or its equivalent and satisfactory completion of Activity Director’s Certification. Experience: Must have one year experience in a social or recreation program in a health care setting or any combination of education, training and/or work experience to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum requirements. A minimum of one year experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
