Safety Manager – School Bus Operations Help Keep Students Safe Every Day We are seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety and driver training programs within our school bus operation. This role partners closely with local and regional leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop safe, professional school bus drivers. Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise safety and training staff. Oversee driver training, onboarding, and ongoing development programs. Monitor safety performance, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions. Manage Workers’ Compensation and safety-related documentation. Ensure compliance with DOT, state, local, and company safety requirements. Deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel training. Maintain driver qualification files, MVRs, evaluations, and other required records. Analyze safety trends and recommend improvements that reduce risk and enhance student transportation safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of transportation, fleet, or school bus safety experience preferred. Knowledge of federal and state transportation safety regulations preferred. Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills. Ability to obtain a CDL with required endorsements and permits.
